On-site Gas Analysis Like Never Before

On-site Gas Analysis Like Never Before

Gasmet Technologies from Finland is a leading manufacturer of FTIR gas analyzers for demanding industrial gas monitoring applications.
The latest addition to the Gasmet product family is the Gasmet Dx-4030, which is the first truly portable FTIR gas analyzer on the market. The key to Gasmet Dx-4030’s unique portability lies in its ingenious construction; the analyzer module is located in a sturdy backpack, saving the user from having to carry the analyzer around.
Additionally, no sample preparation is needed; the sample gas is drawn into the analyzer module by a pistol-type sample probe, which has a built-in pump and a particle filter. The whole system is battery operated with an operating time of several hours.
The Gasmet Dx-4030 brings the benefits of FTIR spectroscopy into real-life measurement situations: high specificity, calibration stability and multicomponent analysis are just a few examples of the advanced capabilities that are commonly associated with FTIR gas analyzers.
In addition, the Gasmet Dx-4030 also features an easy-to-use PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) - based user interface. The analyzer module and the PDA communicate via wireless Bluetooth protocol, which is also an industry first.
The Gasmet Dx-4030 is able to monitor simultaneously concentrations of up to 25 compounds in surrounding air (both organic and inorganic gases). The user has also the option to transfer the measurement data to a laptop, where it can be further analyzed with the help of an extensive spectral library. For example, previously unknown /
non-calibrated compounds can be identified based on their unique IR – spectrum. The main application areas for the Gasmet Dx-4030 are
industrial hygiene, leakage detection and first response after chemical accidents.
